Sayak is a freelance Cinematographer currently based in Mumbai, India. He is a graduate of Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (Kolkata).

Sayak loves telling stories through images and he looks out for building distinct cinematic universe for each of his work.

​

Sayak has worked with Majid Majidi on Beyond The Clouds as one of his cinematographers.

Sayak has shot several award-winning Web Series, Short films, Feature films, and Commercials.

 

He recently shot the 'Goel TMT - Band Baaja Bitiya' film which won the prestigious Piyush Pandey Polaris Award this year at Good Ads Matter. 
This film has also won 7 golds at Good Ads Matter.

 

Sayak also got the nomination for Best Cinematography in a feature film at The Critics Choice Awards this year for his work in The Puppet's Tale.

His films have gone to several international and national film festivals including Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Munich International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Fantasia Fim Festival and National Awards, India.  

His diploma film won 'Best Student Cinematography' award in Munich International Film Festival.

Sayak won the IWM digital award for Best Cinematography In A Web Series for ASUR in 2021.
